Shipping Export Traffic Control/Inventory Control Lead

Troy Lee Designs, the world’s leading aspirational brand of Bicycle and Motocross helmets and apparel, is looking for a Shipping Export Traffic Control/Inventory Lead. The Shipping Inbound / Inventory Lead will direct and coordinate receiving and other warehouse processes according to established operating procedures by performing the following duties personally and/or through co-workers.

Troy Lee Designs, the world’s leading aspirational brand of Bicycle and Motocross helmets and apparel, is looking for a Shipping Export Traffic Control/Inventory Lead. The Shipping Inbound / Inventory Lead will direct and coordinate receiving and other warehouse processes according to established operating procedures by performing the following duties personally and/or through co-workers.

Duties & Responsibilities (Include But Are Not Limited To):

  • Oversee receiving and inventory control processes to make sure work meets quality standards and is performed according to established procedures.
  • Create all export documentation.
  • Communicate with multiple freight forwarders.
  • Book all international LTL shipments, both air and ocean.
  • Provide training to current and new employees in all appropriate procedures and processes required to complete work assignments.
  • Assist with the development, revision, and enforcement of inventory management and procedures including record keeping, work instruction, and other standard operational and work practices as necessary.
  • Operate lift trucks, pallet jacks, and other equipment to safely move parts to proper locations and load and unload trucks as necessary.
  • Oversee the receipt of purchased goods verifying counts quality, complete transactions to receive product, process paperwork, and complete all necessary transactions according to established procedures. Locate product to the appropriate areas according to procedure.
  • Inspect freight upon arrival, document any signs of damage or errors, and resolve freight claims in a timely manner.
  • Visually monitor inventory levels and communicate low levels to replenishment assistant and others as necessary.
  • Cycle count inventory according to established guidelines and assist with developing actions to correct inventory problems.
  • Complete inventory transactions to replenish, assign location, and restock inventory as required.
  • Maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner so that you get along with customers, clients, co-workers, and management.
  • Continue to grow knowledge and use the tools to identify and assist with continuous improvement.
  • Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.

Qualifications Required:

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to calculate figures.
  • Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Intermediate to advanced skill in Microsoft Excel is a must to prepare necessary inventory reports and CSV uploads.

  • Knowledge or experience in action sports.

Protection Product Developer

Troy Lee Designs, the world’s leading aspirational brand of bicycle and motocross helmets and apparel, is looking for a Protection Product Developer. The Product Developer for Protection will lead all aspects of the development process for TLD protection from inception through buy ready completion. This position is responsible for creating, supporting design, and product management to create an innovative and proprietary protection product line that will differentiate itself in the motocross and mountain bike markets and create an incremental growth opportunity for the TLD brand.

  • Drive all development functions from inception through go to market for the introduction of an all new protection product line for bike and moto that releases in 2022.
  • Partner with Development leadership and Bike and Moto PM’s to establish a proprietary product strategy and direction for the entire product line in order to create a proprietary position and maximize commercial opportunity.
  • Partner with design team on full execution of product development process from start to final buy ready status.
  • Work alongside TLD teams to ensure protection product line includes key TLD DNA ingredients.
  • Work with PLM’s on product line strategy specific to architecture, pricing strategies, and profitability targets to ensure strong revenue and gross margin targets.
  • Full execution of construction documentation for entire product line.
  • Manage development calendar to ensure milestones and deadlines are achieved.
  • Tracking of all development from design handover through buy ready status.
  • Work closely with supply chain/vendor base on product development, raw material development, testing, R&D requirements, etc.
  • Work with key athletes on product development and testing to ensure product meets all expected requirements.
  • Assist in product meetings at all stages from product creation through go to market.

Senior Industrial Designer Protection

The Senior Designer for Protection will lead all aspects of the design process for TLD protection from inception through buy ready completion. This position is responsible for creating an innovative and proprietary protection product line that will differentiate itself in the motocross and mountain bike markets and create an incremental growth opportunity for the TLD brand.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Bike and Moto PM’s with establishing a proprietary design strategy, direction, and design language for the entire product line, in order to create a proprietary position and maximize commercial opportunity.
  • Full execution of transformation from product line direction into technical designs for entire product line.
  • Partner with development team on full execution of product development process from start to final buy ready status.
  • Work alongside TLD design teams in apparel and helmets to ensure protection product line includes key TLD DNA ingredients.
  • Work with PLM’s on product line strategy specific to architecture, pricing strategies, and profitability targets to ensure strong revenue and gross margin targets.
  • Work closely with supply chain on product development, raw material development, testing, R&D requirements, etc.

Qualifications

  • 5-7 years’ plus of industrial design experience.
  • Significant knowledge, involvement, and understanding of the mountain bike and motocross markets.
  • Significant knowledge and usage of design software such as Illustrator, Solidworks, etc.
  • Excellent knowledge of graphic design.
  • Excellent knowledge on completion of construction documentation specific to design.
