CRAWFORDSVILLE, IND. (August 26, 2017)
– Troy Lee Designs/Red Bull/KTM’s Sean Cantrell rode as the team’s sole participant at the final Pro Motocross round at Ironman Raceway, making it count as he scored a season best finish in eighth overall. After earning his first podium of the season, teammate Shane McElrath was forced to sit out the round in Indiana due to a hand injury.
It was a day that Cantrell will remember as a breakthrough day for him. He started the first moto with the front-runners, but kept it inside the top 10 to finish with his best moto result of sixth.
“If there is a way you should go out for the season it is with a season best finish,” said Cantrell. “It was a long time coming and I’m so happy to keep the team inside the top 10. I can’t tell you how much I’ve learned over the past 12 races and I feel like it all came together for a solid day.”
Cantrell closed out the season with the
SE Streamline Blue and Orange Racewear in practice and then switched to the
SE Air Streamline Racewear during the motos. He also wore the
SE4 Polyacrylite Helmet. See all of the
