TLD’s Seely Puts In Solid Effort At Supercross Season Opener
Anaheim, Calif. (January, 7, 2017) – Troy Lee Designs rider Cole Seely made sure he left the opening round on a positive note, riding a solid and consistent main event to sixth place. Seely’s effort keeps him easily in the hunt for a championship as one of 17 rounds is now in the books.
The day started on a positive note with Seely clocking the third fastest lap time of qualifying practice. He was able to transfer quickly through his heat race where he finished fourth. This helped Seely pick a good gate for the main event. He jumped out to a fast top-10 start, eventually making his way up to sixth when the checkered flag flew.
“After so much testing and practice, it’s always nice to get the first race out of the way and do well in the process,” said Seely. “I wish we could have been up on the podium, but it gives us something to reach for next week. I’m looking forward to San Diego.”
The next stop of the Monster Energy Supercross tour brings Seely to Petco Park in San Diego, California.
Seely wore the SE Air Starburst during practice and changed into the SE Air Corsa Honda racewear during the night races. He sported the SE4 Midnight Helmet. See more of the 2017 gear sets and the 2017 Moto Helmets online and at your local TLD retailer.
