TLD’s Seely Continues String of Consistent Finishes in Toronto
TORONTO (March 4, 2017) – Troy Lee Designs rider Cole Seely rode to another solid finish in Toronto, scoring a sixth-place finish inside the Rogers Centre in Canada. His consistent run over the course of the first nine rounds has landed him comfortably in fourth and just four points out of third in the championship standings.
Qualifying was decent for Seely, who scored eighth over the two timed practice sessions. He made the main event through the semi race where he finished third. In the main event, it was a fight to the first turn and at one lap in, Seely came out seventh. He turned out solid lap after solid lap and eventually made his way into sixth, where he finished the night.
“I didn’t get the greatest start tonight and it was tough for me to get in the groove,” said Seely. “I’m thankful that we are safe and still came away with a sixth-place finish. I’d really like to move up into third in the standings, but we have a long way to go still.”
The Monster Energy Supercross makes its annual trip to the Daytona International Speedway for the most unique track on the circuit inside the super speedway. Race takes place on March 11 as Daytona Bike Week gets underway.
Seely wore the GP Liberty Racewear during practice and then the GP Midnight Racewear during the night show. He also had on the SE4 helmet. See more of the 2017 gear sets and the 2017 Moto Helmets online and at your local TLD retailer.
