LAKEWOOD, COLO. (June 3, 2017) – Troy Lee Designs rider Cole Seely continued to ride well as Round 3 of the Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship took over Thunder Valley Motocross Park outside Denver. His solid showing in the opening moto helped propel him to sixth overall with a 5-10 moto result.
Seely was holding his own in the opening moto after getting a sixth-place start to the day. Despite pressure and movement going on around him, Seely moved up to fifth and maintained his position until the end of the moto. In Moto 2, he wasn’t as fortunate on the start and held on to 10
th place when he collected the checkered flag. He tied his season-best score from last week in sixth with his 5-10 moto result.
“I’ll feel really good one moto and then struggle the next,” said Seely. “I’m just glad we made it out safe and can focus on having a weekend off and coming back stronger than before. It was definitely brutal today, which makes sixth overall feel pretty good.”
The Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship will be off for one weekend before converging upon High Point Raceway in Mt. Morris, Pennsylvania on June 17.
Seely was wearing the all-new
SE Shadow Red and Blue Racewear with the
SE4 Streamline Orange and Navy Helmet. See more of the
