Troy Lee Designs’ Taylor Robert Closes Out World Enduro Series With The Overall Win
Corona, Calif. (September 12, 2016) – Troy Lee Designs’
Taylor Robert closed out his first season racing the World EnduroGP with an impressive overall win at the tough final round in Cahors, France. The beautiful location set the stage nicely for an epic battle that saw Robert claim his first-ever EnduroGP win.
During the first day of intense battle in some of Southwest France’s hilly terrain, Robert was able to place himself just four seconds back of the leader after a win on the 10th and final test of the day. As the riders braced for the final day of action, Robert was once again ready to prove himself aboard his KTM.
On the second day of racing, Robert kept himself right in the hunt for the overall despite only winning two tests. It was his consistency throughout the nine tests that helped propel him to the top of the time sheets and claim his overall win by seven seconds.
“This is a great way to cap off the season,” said Robert. “We had some low moments, but we battled and never quit and it’s been great to give the team this win at the final race.”
