Ripping at the Ranch

A full week of fun, the fastest amateurs around were ripping at the ranch. This year's 39th running of the Loretta Lynn's Amateur National was full of good times and great racing. Max Vohland was hard to not notice all week after taking every moto win and recording the rare perfect record capturing the 125 and Schoolboy 1 championships. The newest member of the TLD moto crew, Luke Fauser showed he’s one of the fastest in the country on 85 and took home the 85 & 85 Limited national titles.

Tuesday:

Day one of racing got off to an exciting start with Luke Fauser breaking through first in the 85 Limited class to take the first TLD moto win. The Australian native, Thomas (Tiger) Wood was quick off the gate to grab a holeshot and would hang on to take 4th in the first Mini Sr. 2 moto. Tuesday also marked Hannah Hodges 11th consecutive year of racing at the ranch where she took a 2nd place podium finish in the women’s class.

Daxton Bennick, who showed up to race a big bike for the first time grabbed another podium on Wednesday and earned a 2-3 record in 250 B Limited. Fauser continued his winning ways taking the 85 Limited moto 2 win to set himself up for a championship with a perfect 1-1 in the class.

Thursday:

Easily the most exciting race of the day, maybe even the entire week, Nate Thrasher grabbed the 250 B moto 2 win from behind. It was a wild one to say the least with Thrasher coming through traffic, navigating though bikes on the track and eventually taking the lead and securing his first moto win of the week.

Holding a 3-4 record in the 85 class, Luke Fauser got the job done after crossing the line in second, two positions ahead of the points leader, to take his second championship of the week. “So so so pumped to get the win,” Fauser was excited to say the least.

Looking like a seasoned vet, Max Vohland rode to his sixth moto win and locked down the Schoolboy 1 championship to end the week.

The final day at Loretta’s wasn’t all about championship, Nate Thrasher said he, “came here to win” and he did just that with another 250 B moto win to cap off a come from behind week and finish 2nd in both the 250 B and Schoolboy 2 classes. Congrats to all the champions and the fastest 40 kids in each class for making it. The future is fast!
