We only get to shout about this every four years, and this time around we had to wait five. Meet the world’s best competing in Japan this summer.
Alise Willoughby
Introducing Team USA’s Alise "the beast" Willoughby, Debuting her talents on the largest stage in London 2012 and winning her first silver medal in Rio at the 2016 games, Alise will be racing for another medal this summer in Japan as the field's favorite.⠀
Women’s USA BMX racing number one, Alise has gone on a historic winning run since her 2016 silver medal in Rio including winning two world championships and four consecutive national number one titles. ⠀
⠀
Alise’s #tldpaint helmet for the big race features classic red, white and blue across the chin bar but also gives love to Japanese culture including iconic Mount Fuji art, the Japanese symbol for Strength as a nod to Sam Willoughby and a cherry blossom tree to symbolize the friendship between the US and Japan.
Anthony Dean
Representing Australia on the biggest stage, say hello to Anthony Dean. The 2016 Rio athlete will be racing in his second games this time around in Japan. AD has been crowned Australia's fastest and is the solo male BMX racer to compete on behalf of the green and gold this year. ⠀
⠀
In true Anthony Dean style, his #tldpaint D4 helmet matches perfectly with his national colors and features a custom graphic that is both intricate and clean at the same time. Adding some pop, 'Dean' on the back is overlaid with 24k gold leaf and the same Australian and Southern Cross logo that's featured on his Sprint Ultra race pants is used above the goggle line.
Felicia Stancil
Riding out of Indianapolis, Indiana meet the Team USA rookie Felicia Stancil. Earning her first world championship title in 2004 at the age of 9, Flyin’ Felicia has been competing at the top level for over a decade. ⠀
⠀
Felicia’s #tldpaint D4 Helmet features a custom red, white and blue theme with a modern take on a classic stars and stripes design. Adding some personal touches, Felicia’s signature FS23 logo is on the back in silver leaf and Daisy flowers on the side to represent her new pup Daisy.
Lauren Reynolds
Representing Team Australia for the third time in her career, introducing one of the world’s fastest Lauren Reynolds. Hailing from Western Australia, Lauren now trains in Chula Vista, California with coach and fellow Aussie, and Olympic medalist in his own right, Sam Willoughby.⠀
⠀
For Lauren’s custom #tldpaint D4 Helmet she wanted something bright to contrast against her green and gold national kit. Reynolds’ D4 features California vibes with sunset colors and palm trees to represent her second home in Southern California, a Southern Cross on the visor for some Aussie love and her career number 21 on the crown of the helmet. ⠀
