For 2024, Troy Lee Designs reignites its commitment to chasing world championships by partnering with the Monster Energy Yamaha Factory MX2 team. Supporting the team with premium helmets, gear, and protection, Troy Lee Designs is proud to align with partners who share the same passion for speed. The team sees formidable young talents Thibault Benistant and Rick Elzinga return to compete for the MX2 World Championship joined by newcomer Andrea Bonacorsi, the reigning EMX250 champion.
Thibault Benistant
MX2 veteran Thibault Benistant returns to the Monster Energy Yamaha Factory MX2 team for his fourth season. The Frenchman was crowned the 2020 EMX250 champion and has three victories in the MX2 class. Aspiring to improve his 9th-place result in the 2023 MX2 championship, Benistant will lead the team in its MX2 championship quest in 2024.
Rick Elzinga
Rick Elzinga returns to the Monster Energy Yamaha Factory MX2 team for his second season. The Dutch prodigy won the 2022 EMX250 championship with Yamaha. For 2024, Elzinga looks to build upon his 10th place in the 2023 MX2 points standings.
Andrea Bonacorsi
The young Italian talent Andrea Bonacorsi will prove to be an exciting addition to the Monster Energy Yamaha Factory MX2 team. In 2024, the reigning EMX250 champion is keen to battle for the podium in his rookie MX2 season.
