DOUBLE MOTO VICTORY FOR GEERTS
Monster Energy Yamaha Factory MX2-rider Jago Geerts was the best in the second round of the Czech championship in Kaplice. The Belgian won both motos after two thrilling battles with Tom Vialle.

Jago Geerts stayed in the Czech Republic the entire week after participating in the first round of the national championship in Dalecin last weekend. The Belgian was the sole rider of the Monster Energy Yamaha Factory MX2 Team at the start in Kaplice, as team mate Ben Watson prefers some extra training.
Exciting battles
Geerts finished his week with a victory in Kaplice. The Belgian got a great start on his YZ250FM, being right behind Vialle in the first turn. He followed the Frenchman for some laps and took the lead when Vialle made a small mistake. The two were performing at a high level and had an exciting battle until the end. Geerts kept calm and won the first moto. Jago took the holeshot in the second moto, but was closely followed by Vialle. Like in the first moto both riders showed an incredible battle, from start to finish. Vialle tried a few times to pass his Belgian rival, but each time Geerts replied in style. The Monster Energy Yamaha Factory won the second heat and the overall.

"My week in the Czech Republic ended well. Of course, this is only a preparation race, but it's always a nice feeling to win. I'm really happy with my level today and I had a lot of fun. The entire week was nice. I had some good training sessions on different tracks. It was worth coming to the Czech Republic. I can't wait to restart the world championship. On a personal point of view the calendar looks great with three Grand Prix in Kegums and three in Lommel, two of my favourite tracks."
