For one unforgettable week, the trails come alive with world-class racing, groundbreaking riding, and a community brought together by a shared passion for the sport. Crankworx is more than a competition, it's a celebration of mountain biking at its very best.
For Troy Lee Designs, Whistler has always been a place where racing, creativity, and community intersect. This year's festival was no different. From athlete appearances and fan activations to podium celebrations and inspiring comebacks, Crankworx 2026 showcased everything that makes this sport so special.
Bringing the Community Together
Some of the best moments of Crankworx happen away from the race course.
Throughout the week, Troy Lee Designs athletes spent time connecting with the riders and fans who continue to make this community unlike any other. The week began at our longtime partner, Evo, where a packed store welcomed TLD freeride athletes for an afternoon of autograph signings, photo ops, and conversations with the next generation of riders.
The celebration continued at the Troy Lee Designs Whistler Flagship Store, where athletes from Troy Lee Designs and Canyon Factory Racing came together for a special evening with the community. Fans had the opportunity to meet some of the fastest riders in the world, hear their stories, grab photos and autographs, and experience firsthand the passion that fuels our sport.
These moments serve as a reminder that Crankworx isn't defined solely by results. It's built on the connections between athletes, brands, local shops, and the fans who continue to push mountain biking forward.
Canyon Factory Racing Rises to the Occasion
When race day arrived, Canyon Factory Racing delivered.
Aletha Ostgaard put together a commanding ride to capture the Elite Women's victory, standing atop one of the sport's most prestigious podiums. On the men's side, Troy Brosnan once again proved why he remains one of downhill racing's fiercest competitors, charging to a hard-earned second-place finish in an incredibly competitive field.
A weekend of Progress and Perseverance
Crankworx wouldn't be complete without the spectacle of Rhapsody Slopestyle, where creativity, style, and progression meet one of the biggest stages in freeride mountain biking.
Racing in front of a hometown crowd, Ben Thompson delivered a confident performance to finish eighth against one of the deepest slopestyle fields of the season.
The event also marked one of the week's most meaningful moments as Kaidan Ingersoll returned to competition following the serious leg injury that sidelined him earlier this year. Simply rolling back into the start gate at Crankworx represented months of determination, resilience, and hard work. Seeing him back competing on one of mountain biking's biggest stages was a victory within itself.
